A PASTEL portrait of Ken Fuller entitled Old Salt by Cleveland artist Gillian Rich has won the Judge’s Choice Award at the Coochie Art Group’s 34th annual show.
Old Salt also was awarded first place in the pastel category.
Multi-award winning artist and master pastellist Chris Blake, from Landsborough on the Sunshine Coast, was the judge for this year’s awards which was themed Beyond the Brush.
The exhibition continues at Redland Art Gallery, Cleveland, until December 2; Monday to Friday 9am from 4pm and Sunday 9am to 2pm. Enquiries to 3829 8899.
The People’s Choice will be announced on November 30.
* This weekend, there will be a special extension exhibition entitled The Overflow at the home of Coochie Art Group member Gillian Rich at 82 Channel Street, Cleveland. It’s open on Saturday and Sunday, November 17 and 18, between 9am and 4pm. A diverse range of colourful artworks will be for sale.
